Even before I began to write THE FOUR BELLS, I read world war based fiction as “go to” pleasure reading. I consider myself a connoisseur of the genre! My reader friends know this about me, and sometimes ask for a book recommendation. To be clear, I am not a paid reviewer, and I have purchased every world war fiction title listed below to read for my personal enjoyment. In this list you’ll learn what I might tell one of my friends about world war based novels I have read. If one of my takes sparks your interest, go find a full-blown book review on that title with a quick internet search. You just might put it in your reading queue!
I also review historical novels outside the world war fiction genre. Some of my reviews appear in the Historical Novels Review. I’ll even post a review of a historical movie now and then.
Drop me a note and let me know what you think about any of my takes or reviews. Or give me a title you would suggest that I read and add to this list.
The list includes bestsellers, classics, recent and long-ago titles. Almost all have some literary depth, and of course some are far better than others. That said, I picked up something from every read on the list, and look forward to adding many more titles!
